I just approved the test duplicate for a tape (yeah, cassette tape) compilation that The Believer Magazine is putting out. Calvin curated it and I (Bob Schwenkler) mastered it here at Dub Narcotic. It’s an excellently diverse collection of songs, there’s a lot of really great music on it that you may have not yet heard!

The release date is July 1st, I’ll post again with more details once it’s on shelves.

Thanks to Andi Mudd at The Believer for sending a grip of past issues our way, they’ll be in the studio, waiting to be read!

i’ve got it on good authority that there’s a bunch of sick Gnarly surprises on that, including some WR and some of that other other good good shit, you know? JULY, right?

If you haven’t already heard: Portland Mayor Sam Adams named yesterday MAHMOUD AHMED DAY, in honor and celebration of the music legend coming to Portland to perform at Yale Union- and Mahmoud’s 72nd birthday! 

It was an amazing performance (man, how about round 2?!)
